Winter floes on in the St. Lawrence River, shifting and grinding and never-ending. Yesterday, March 20th, marked the first day of spring, but temperatures stubbornly remain below zero for us east coasters. Summer has never seemed further away, but we’re okay with it—because we know that we’ll enjoy it much more having endured everything winter has put us through. When warmth finally arrives, it’s like we collectively accomplished something. We did it. And it was worth the wait.
